The major problem faced by the fluid power industry is that contamination in the system mixes with the condensate generating corrosive and aggressive sludges damaging the Piping, Valves, Pneumatic equipment, resulting in shutdown of Production Lines and pushing up the cost of maintenance. The impurities in the form of atmospheric dirt and dust varies from 0.1 to 10 micron which cannot be handled by the intake filters. Additional contamination is generated from the combustion of fuels and the compressor does not generate clean compressed air. Contaminants are generated through wear and tear, oil (oil carry-over). This is created and carried-over in very fine aerosols from up to 0.01 micron in size and in quantities from 1 to 100 mg/m3 (depending on the compressor). The

Hi-Tech Filters (SHF) make Moisture Seperator combines a Twin Separation
system. This unique system which include a baffling separation and
interception of air through specially designed coalescor makes the SHF
Moisture Separation different from others. These are the stage 1 Filters
which remove moisture from the compressed air line PRE-FILTERS These
general purpose Filters are used to remove the coarse contamination from
the compressed air stream. These Filters are used as Pre-Filters to the
Micro Coalesors & Activated Carbon Filters. Extended element life is
best achieved by pre-filtering air with a Siemag Pre-Filter.
The SHF Micro Coalescor comes with a pleated filter element made of glass fiber media to eliminate oil & moisture from the compressed air ranging from efficiency of 1 micron & oil at 0.05 mg/m3 to 0.01 micron & oil at 0.01 mg/m3, these filters are available in moulded & pleated form.
Activated carbon filter are used to remove the traces of oil in vapors form & associated taste & odours. They are the final stage filters for cleaning of air used in critical applications. These filters are designed to give 0.005 mg/m3 maximum remaining oil content. AUTO DRAINS These Micro-Processor based Auto-Drains remove the liquid condensate as per the specified needs. The On-Off time is adjustable from 0-8 sec & 1-99 min respectively. Available in ½” & 1” size & 230 V AC as std voltage of Auto Drains are very compact.
The different pressure indicators is used to monitor the life of the element & indicates when the filter has reached the end of its life. Pressure Drop indicator shows Red at 0.7 bar across filter element. Mounts directly on top of the filter housing. D.P
GAUGE A different pressure gauge gives a continuous reading of the difference in pressure across the filter. These D.P gauges continuously monitor the pressure drop & are sensitive in the range of 0 to 1 kg/cm2. Designed to be installed on compressed air or gas system the warranty cease to exit if used on any other fluids. The readable visibility range is around 5-6 mtrs. |
